We had this image commissioned a while ago with the idea that the site would have some corny, early 2000s CSS weather effects that matched the local #nyc weather. Swapping out the banner (at https://masto.nyc/about) for this "rainy day" variant would have been part of that.

Then, much later, I realized, like, 95% of masto.nyc users use an app and would never see it ;____;

maybe one day I'll go through with it if I need a rainy day activity

Looking through an arched window forty-three minutes after sunrise the sky is full of grey rain clouds. Holy wow. I'm planning my 11-year-old's soccer practices this week. First time we get to go to Weehawken, NJ. There's literally a bus every 4 to 5(!) minutes, and it takes all of 5 minutes to get there!

NYC transit rocks.
