The entire notion of "opening new research into #vaccines and #autism" is a RUSE.
There has been plenty of data collected, research performed, and it is well-established that there's "no there there".
The only reason to open "new studies" or hold hearings is to keep the controversy alive and provide sound bites for those who profit from vaccine disinformation.

After we've neutralized the acute threat of #fascism, I think the U.S. needs to take a hard look at making #vaccines mandatory.
I hate the phrase "vaccine hesitancy." It's so neutral. (Yes, I realize that is the appeal.) People who can but won't vaccinate are asserting that they have a right to spread deadly diseases to others. There's no such right.

In Hobbs, #NewMexico, Sherif says about 85% of his patients are on #Medicaid, the federal & state #HealthInsurance program for #LowIncome Americans. His clinic orders about $50,000 worth of #measles, #chickenpox & other #vaccines per month through the program, he says, an amount of #money impossible for his small clinic to afford if not covered by the federal program.
“If I were to buy them by myself, I would not get enough for my patients,” he said.
As a doctor in training more than 20 years ago, she cared for a teen boy who died from a degenerative neurological condition linked to his #measles #infection as an infant, when he was too young to be vaccinated.

The #CDC employees who staff the #children’s #vaccine program were *largely* untouched, 3 sources familiar w/the situation said.
However, about 20 others were fired who comprised a unit that helped promote the program in #communities at high risk of #InfectiousDisease, including during the current #measles #outbreak, these sources said. These employees helped bolster the confidence in the safety & effectiveness of #vaccines, they said.
The #Vaccines for #Children program funds #vaccine purchases from drug manufacturers including Merck & GlaxoSmithKline at a discount, while state #health departments implement the program & enroll #medical providers. A dose of MMR vaccine costs about $26 under the program compared to $95 in the private sector, acc/to #CDC price list.

Whooping cough cases surge as vaccine rates fall.
Two babies in Louisiana have died of whooping cough in the past six months, while the CDC confirmed this year that a 5-year-old in Washington state died of the disease in November — the state’s first pertussis death since 2011. Two other deaths have been reported in Idaho and North Dakota, according to the British Medical Journal.

The directive under consideration would remove the #Covid shot from the childhood vaccine schedule maintained by the CDC.
