Mika<p>Obviously I'm paying for it whenever I decide to get the <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Switch2" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Switch2</a> but what a scam - and ofc this <i>scam</i> exists when people like me who aren't particularly <i>obsessed</i> with <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Nintendo" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Nintendo</a><span> in the first place, still almost unhesitatingly considers paying (this much) for this upgrade.<br><br>Still think that </span><a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/console" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#console</a> <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/gaming" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#gaming</a><span> being "superior" in any way i.e. more user-friendly, etc. makes less and less sense when, for a long time now but more and more so these days, you've to freaking pay for everything from what would've been a free update/DLC on PCs, online multiplayer, heck even cloud saves, etc. User-friendly is also increasingly less true when you even have to do a deep dive into documentations and online discussions/reviews to even understand how digital games work on your platform, or online multiplayer works for a game, or even the various types of physical games (i.e. actual game you're getting, or just a digital code despite being "physical") you're getting and how they differ from each other.<br><br>With the Switch 2 you even have to find out if your Switch 1 games are compatible for playing because "backwards compatibility" is just emulation - maybe we'll even need a "</span><a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Proton" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Proton</a>" compatibility list like <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Valve" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Valve</a>'s <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Steam" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Steam</a> Verified programme at this point lol. All in all, since the last gen of consoles and the rise in popularity of PC gaming "consoles" like the <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/SteamDeck" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SteamDeck</a><span>... the line that segments between them is continually fading.<br><br>RE: </span><a href="https://mastodon.social/users/verge/statuses/114297667613285021" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://mastodon.social/users/verge/statuses/114297667613285021</a></p>
